Martyn and Karen exchange rings in Sheboygan, Wisconsin

A wedding is an important day for the couple celebrating and for the guests in attendance.   Here is the process I use to customize your ceremony:

  • I communicate with you to discover your hopes and dreams for your ceremony, to gather  information about the kind of atmosphere you want, and to get to know you.

  • I follow up with an email asking you a series of 7-8 questions which help me understand your history as a couple and how your relationship began.  This provides me with information for personalizing the opening of the ceremony, to tell your love story, and gives your guests an opportunity to get to know your partner/fiance' and your relationship in a way they otherwise would not.

  • I provide you with several sample ceremonies and work with you to create yours.  You can use any of the samples I provide, use parts of multiple ceremonies, use parts of the samples plus use some other elements of your own, and/or provide me with a specific ceremony you would like to use.

  • Because I have served as wedding celebrant for over 3000 couples, I have a large number of resources at my fingertips which I am happy to share with you should you be looking for something specific for your wedding/commitment ceremony.
